Born in Portland, Oregon, Bethany Ward is a 2003 graduate of the University of San Diego, School of Law. While at USD, Bethany studied Family Law and Child Rights and Remedies and participated in the dependency clinic through USD’s Child Advocacy Institute. In conjunction with her course work, she authored a case note on a U.S. Supreme decision relating to compliance with state child support services under Title IV-D of the Social Security Act that was published in the Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues.
Bethany is trained in mediation by the National Conflict Resolution Center. She also holds a degree in Political Science from the University of California Santa Barbara. Bethany studied abroad during law school at the Institute on International and Comparative Law in Florence, Italy.
Bethany became a member of the State Bar of California in 2003 and joined the firm in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced exclusively in family law. While in law school, Bethany interned at the Family Law Facilitator’s office. She also volunteered her time at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program in the domestic violence clinic.
Outside of the office, Bethany enjoys making memories with her family and being outside to enjoy all that San Diego has to offer.
